To achieve this goal, it is planned to comprehensively study the gene pool samples of the station on the main economic and biological characteristics and submit them for registration in the NCGRRU, as well as to form characteristic, working and educational collections of samples of some fruit and nut crops. Develop methodological recommendations for the preservation and maintenance of fruit and nut crops of national importance. popup.description2 The collection includes 148 pear trees, 14 plum trees, 148 apple trees, and 70 walnut trees. Between 2021 and 2025, the collection was expanded with 7 pear specimens and 1 walnut specimen, including 5 varieties of Ukrainian origin and 2 foreign varieties (FRA). In 2025, the collection was expanded with three specimens: Dobryana, Veselka, and Syayvo. Donors and sources of economically valuable traits of pear (10) and walnut (9) have been identified, which will be used in the breeding process to create new high-yielding varieties. Between 2021 and 2025, three pear varieties were created at the station: Lastivka (Patent No. 210943 dated November 30, 2021); Dobryana (Patent No. 240234 dated July 19, 2024), and the pear variety Syayvo (Certificate of variety registration No. 240406, dated July 1, 2024), and the walnut variety Skarb (Patent No. 240234 dated July 19, 2024). In 2025, an elite form, 2-9-10k, named Veselka, was selected and submitted for state variety testing. The parent forms for the new varieties were taken from collection plantings of the Lastivka pear variety (Konferentsiya x Skorosplika from Strev), the Dobryana variety (Yablunivska v.z.), the Syayvo variety (Pierre Corneille x Bukovinka), and the Veselka variety (Williams Rouge Delbara x Parisianka).
