The object of research is the process of organizing and conducting polygraph examinations as a tool for increasing the objectivity of management decisions. The subject of the study is the methodological principles of using the polygraph in the activities of the National Police of Ukraine. Research methods were selected based on the defined goals and objectives, taking into account the object and subject: historical-legal and comparative methods were used to study the historical prerequisites for the introduction and evolution of the use of the polygraph in the world practice of state structures; the method of structural-system analysis allowed us to establish the logical structure and practical significance of the relevant stages of polygraph research, and the formal-legal method contributed to the knowledge of the procedure for organizing and conducting interviews (testing) of persons using a polygraph in the National Police of Ukraine. Results obtained: methodological recommendations were prepared, which considered the main issues of using the polygraph in the bodies and units of the National Police of Ukraine. The main directions and stages of polygraph research were revealed. The requirements for specialists who conduct interviews (testing) of persons using the polygraph were characterized, and the requirements for specialists who conduct interviews (testing) of persons using the polygraph were also characterized.
