Based on a comprehensive assessment of the effectiveness of innovative activity in the agricultural sector, it was established: – the absence of a clear trend towards increasing the economic efficiency of agricultural production; – a decrease in financial and economic indicators of the agricultural sector, which are primarily expressed in a decrease in the financial result from 103.1 to 65.4 billion UAH during 2015–2023; – the dominance of the trend towards a gradual increase in the share of crop production in the structure of agricultural products – from 70.3 to 81.1%; – the influence of financial components on the development of innovative processes in the agricultural sector accounted for about two-thirds of the main factors, due to the lack of a state mechanism for investing in the introduction of innovations in production and the lack of sufficient working capital for implementing innovative measures; – the inability to ensure stable productivity indicators in crop production indicates an insufficient level of implementation of the latest technologies for growing agricultural crops and varieties adapted to certain regions; – a higher level of capital investments per 1 ha of agricultural land provided better indicators of production and economic activity; – a decrease in the level of profitability of agricultural activity at enterprises of the industry during 2015–2023 from 30.4 to 7.9% significantly influenced the lack of a stable increase in funds that could be directed to the implementation of innovative measures.
