The purpose of this work is to substantiate the theoretical and methodological principles and develop methodological recommendations for establishing a system to monitor the impact of the external environment on an enterprise's behavior in wartime conditions. Research methods are comparative, systemic, process-functional, conceptual, synergistic, marketing-oriented, comparative analysis, dynamic analysis, and structural analysis. The concept of "monitoring" is analyzed, revealing the diversity of aspects within the study of this concept, with a single invariant core. The principles and functions of the monitoring system are established, forming the methodological basis for building a monitoring system and ensuring its effective operation. A theoretical and methodological basis for developing a system for monitoring the impact of the external environment on the behavior of an enterprise has been developed, which includes the functions and principles of building a monitoring system that supports the effective formation of provisions, hypotheses, and statements, which are the methodological basis of the monitoring system.
