The subject of the study is the general rules and principles of providing home medical care in everyday and emergency conditions. The purpose of the work is to substantiate the methods of providing home medical care. The following results were obtained in the course of the research work: - the theoretical foundations of providing first aid for the formation of professional competence of future officers of the State Border Guard Service of Ukraine were analyzed and systematized; - the general rules and principles of providing first aid in everyday and emergency conditions were substantiated; - the general characteristics of injuries and lesions were given, the knowledge of which contributes to the formation of cadets' skills and abilities in performing safe activities. The theoretical significance of the obtained results lies in improving the process of organizing and providing first aid in the units of the State Border Service of Ukraine. The practical significance of the results obtained is that the materials presented in the work can be used in teaching the academic disciplines "Safety of life and activity", "Tactical medicine", "Safety of life and environmental safety", "Fundamentals of survival", "Combat system of survival of soldiers (fundamentals of survival and tactical medicine)".
