The project will create two sunflower hybrids with a potential yield of 3.5-4.0 t / ha, the oil content in the seeds not less than 50%, with genetically determined resistance to new races of broomrape and false powdery mildew, tolerant to white rot, gray rot, fomopsis popup.description2 А complex of breeding, genetic and biochemical research was carried out aimed at creating new high-yielding sunflower hybrids, self-pollinated lines-parental components with high combining ability, adapted to modern cultivation technologies in Ukraine. A collection of 35 lines and sunflower varieties with resistance to herbicides of the sulfonylurea and imidazolinone groups and orobanche, as well as to the main pathogens -, phomosis, phomа and downy mildew, was formed. The mid-early hybrid OD Stream, which is characterized by a yield of up to 3,8 t/ha, oil content of 52%, comprehensive resistance to diseases and high adaptability, was submitted to state variety testing. Seeds of experimental hybrids and parental components were obtained in isolated areas, and a new original source material was created, combining high yield, oil content and resistance to biotic and abiotic factors. Methodological recommendations on breeding, seed production and technology for growing hybrids resistant to ALS-inhibiting herbicides and with an increased content of oleic acid have been prepared. 13 scientific articles, 8 scientific and methodological guidelines and 21 conference materials have been published and prepared for publication. The results of the study contribute to the development of domestic sunflower breeding, ensure the creation of competitive hybrids and expand the scientific base for the use of modern biotechnological approaches in breeding practice.
