Development of effective tools for monitoring radon in soils to assess and minimize radiation risk during the construction and operation of infrastructure facilities

An analysis of international and national regulatory documents and standards on radiation safety related to radon levels in soils was performed. Field measurements of radon volume activity in soils of the Kyiv agglomeration were performed. A mathematical model of the distribution of radon volume activity in soils was developed, taking into account the geological features of the study area. Maps of radon distribution in soils of the study area were constructed.
