Theoretical and practical results. A collection of genetic resources has been formed, which includes 13,497 accessions of 7 crops. The value of accessions as sources of breeding and economic traits has been identified and established, collections of genetic resources for various areas of use and a database for identification and accounting of accessions of collections have been formed. Three special collections and 23 accessions have been transferred and registered as sources of valuable economic traits. Novelty. Accessions of legumes and groats crops were systematized by a set of traits, sources of high-level productive, qualitative and adaptive traits were identified and a basic, trait and educational collection of vetch and buckwheat was created on their basis; databases for the description and identification of collection material were formed, catalogs of study results and seed collections and catalogs of material were created. Effectiveness of implementation. The selected accessions and formed collections are recommended for use in breeding, research and educational programs. The use of identified and evaluated collection material will increase the efficiency of breeding work, expand the range of use of collection resources as source and research material, and visual aids for teaching at universities.
