The subject of study is the physical characteristics of the uranium neutron-generating target. The purpose of the work is to analyze changes in the physical characteristics of the uranium neutron-generating target after irradiation in the active zone of the subcritical assembly. Research methods: study of the effect of irradiation on the strength and plasticity of SAV-1 and U-Mo alloys, and mathematical modeling of the processes of radiation damage to the target materials of the Neutron Source facility at the NSC KIPT. As a result of the work, an analysis was carried out of changes in the properties of materials of the uranium target of the Neutron Source of the NSC “KIPT” under the influence of neutron and (e,γ) irradiation.
