The objective of the work is development of the physical and experimental background of the quasi monochromatic gamma quant source on the base of Compton back scattering of the laser beam by the beam of relativistic electrons for studies in different field of science, energetic and nuclear physics.

The object of study is the Compton quasi-monochromatic gamma quantum source NESTOR. The purpose of the work is to conduct experimental and theoretical research on the NESTOR accumulator in connection with the transfer of the accelerator, as a source of injected electrons, to the international standard frequency of 2856 MHz and the corresponding modernization of the accumulator for operation at a frequency of 714 MHz. Calculations were performed for the new magneto-optical structure of the accumulator with an RF power frequency of 714 MHz instead of the existing frequency of 700 MHz. Based on the results of the work performed, it is planned to continue research with the aim of further improving and putting the NESTOR generator into experimental operation.
