The objective of the work is development of the physical and experimental background of the quasi monochromatic gamma quant source on the base of Compton back scattering of the laser beam by the beam of relativistic electrons for studies in different field of science, energetic and nuclear physics.

The object of study is the NESTOR Compton quasi-monochromatic gamma quantum source. The purpose of the work: - to study the sensitivity of the storage ring structure to inaccuracies in the alignment of electromagnetic elements. - to decide on the transportation of the electron beam into the storage ring through the scattered field of the first turning magnet and to justify the structure of the injection channel for transportation. Research method: - Numerous calculations of equilibrium orbit distortions in the storage ring were performed for various (random) element alignment errors. - the correctness of the adopted injection scheme - the classic five-lens variant - was experimentally confirmed, the calculation results coincided exactly with the results of the first experiments on injection into the storage ring The staff carried out work to preserve the installation in conditions of damage to the accumulator building from explosions inside and outside the building. Based on the results of the work performed, it is planned to continue research with the aim of further improving and putting the NESTOR source into trial operation.
