To develop a methodology for creating genotypes of barley with different types of plant development (spring, spring-winter, typically winter) and ways to combine in a genotype indicators of adaptation to adverse environmental conditions with economically valuable traits; creation barley varieties with a set of economically valuable features for various purposes and transfer them to the state variety testing.

It were crossed with sources of low FPC, drought resistance (Ethiopian material) and sources of the root superoxide dismutase isoenzyme SOD-s2 (provides increased drought, salt, and acid resistance), resistant to diseases. Transplanting of populations, selection of elite plants in F3-F5, study and rejection of breeding material at all stages of the breeding process for economically valuable traits, grain quality control. Transgressive recombinations carrying the desired traits were identified. 5 varieties of common barley were submitted to the State Variety Testing, namely: 2 spring, 2 alternative and 1 winter.A theoretical calculation of the probability of splitting by developmental type in F2 offspring from crossing an allelic combination responsible for the winter developmental type with genotypes belonging to seven known allelic combinations of the spring developmental type is proposed. The offspring were divided according to the phenotypic principle of manifestation: that is, into the class of spring type of development and winter manifestation of development, which in fact included both typically winter and genotypes of alternative type of development. Genetic analysis showed that the genotypes of the winter use group appeared in the offspring from the crossing of winter genotypes with all groups of the spring type of development. Also, according to calculations, they arise from the crossing of spring allelic compositions among themselves, namely: 3×1; 3×2; 3×4; 5×3; 6×3; 6×4; 7×1; 7×3; 7×4.
