Due to the lack of moisture and high air temperatures, a number of promising lines were selected in the competitive tests, which were characterized by increased productivity of green mass and hay, aswellasactiveautumngrowth.Against the background of a long drought, the vegetation was quickly restored after the storage of seeds L488 (selection from the Ladoslava variety), L 491 (individual selection from the Smuglyanka variety), L502 (clone 12/1 x 12/2 x 36/1).The last line is submitted to the state test under the name Dachnyanka.The new variety has high foliage, a delicate structure of the green mass in the period of budding - the beginning of flowering, soft stems, a short rest period and increased protein content of the green mass.It is highly resistant to yellow and brown leaf spot and root rot.In 2024, the Venera variety was entered into the register of plant varieties of Ukraine, and in 2025, the Synʹookedyvo.Both varieties are characterized by drought resistance, intensive autumn growth, resistance to agents of powdery mildew, rust, ascochitosisand peronosporosis.In ecological and collection nurseries, new productive samples were discovered, which will be used in selection work in the next period.
