The study analyses the effects of drip, subsurface and sprinkler irrigation, as well as various soil tillage technologies, on the phytosanitary status of crops, pest abundance and species composition, and the development of plant diseases. The aim of the study was to identify patterns in pest population formation under irrigated conditions and to substantiate effective and environmentally safe plant protection systems for cereal and vegetable crops. Field and laboratory investigations were conducted under the agroecological conditions of the Kyiv and Cherkasy regions using generally accepted research methods. The results indicate that the integration of drip irrigation with modern insecticides and fungicides enables more efficient pest control, reduces pesticide load and enhances the environmental sustainability of agricultural production. The findings provide a scientific basis for improving integrated plant protection systems, optimising soil water regimes and increasing the productivity of agroecosystems under climate change conditions.
