Development of physical and technical principles and creation of innovative radiophysical stack systems using ion-plasma helicon technologies with effective suppression of IR (thermal) radiation in a wide IR spectral range (in particular, atmospheric transparency windows of 3-5 and 8-14 microns) and establishment of regularities of photon transport in these systems.

The purpose of the first phase of the study is to develop the physical and technical foundations and create innovative radiophysical stack systems using ion-plasma helicon technologies, as well as to determine their microstructure and physical properties. For the first time, multilayer stack structures based on AlN, Al, and AlON films synthesized using helicon ion-plasma processes were created on flexible polymer substrates. An expansion of the IR rejection band toward shorter wavelengths toward the 3-5 µm atmospheric transparency window and significant suppression of electromagnetic radiation (EMR) signals in the 3-5 µm transparency window (for 3-5 µm, transmission is less than 3%) were observed. These results hold promise for the development of innovative broadband IR filters with fundamentally new characteristics for camouflaging military equipment.
