Optimization of treatment of children with endocrine and somatic diseases in the primary pediatric care system based on monitoring indicators of psychophysical development, psychoemotional state and quality of life. popup.stage_title Впровадження рекомендацій по оптимізації ведення дітей з ендокринними та соматичними захворюваннями в системі первинної педіатричної допомоги Head Ariaiev Mykola L., д.мед.н. Registration Date 20-01-2026 Organization Odessa National Medical University popup.description1 To increase the effectiveness of endocrinological and somatic pathology by changing the practice of outpatient pediatric care based on monitoring auxiological indicators, psychoemotional status, self-esteem, quality of life, pharmacotherapy results and psychotherapeutic support for sick children. popup.description2 The diagnosis of growth hormone deficiency (GHD) is complicated by the absence of a universally accepted “gold standard” and by the limitations of current diagnostic tests, which necessitates expanding and refining diagnostic approaches using modern molecular biology technologies and medical geographic information systems (GIS). Regional clinical–auxological studies provide valuable insights into the true prevalence of GHD, help identify diagnostic gaps, and prevent underdiagnosis. Short stature is often accompanied by psychosocial stress, reduced self-esteem, and a decline in overall quality of life (QoL). The impact of recombinant human growth hormone (rhGH) therapy on QoL remains controversial and insufficiently studied due to heterogeneous study designs and limited long-term data. Ukrainian and European studies indicate a possible improvement in QoL with treatment, but further well-designed research is required to confirm these findings.
