Head Danylchenko Dmytro О., к.т.н. Registration Date 21-01-2026 Organization National Technical University "Kharkiv Polytechnic Institute" popup.description1 The goal of the project is to ensure the reliability and flexibility of energy supply at the community level through the use of renewable energy sources, backup power sources and energy storage. Tasks to be fulfilled by the project: - analysis of the characteristics of electricity consumption by rural, township and urban communities, taking into account the weather conditions in their territory, identifying existing and prospective problems with the reliability of their electricity supply; - development of a methodology for determining the required parameters and layout of the community's electricity supply system, taking into account the characteristics of its consumers, weather conditions, the existing generation equipment, the share of active consumers and the duration of periods of electricity supply restrictions for the community; - development of algorithms for the system's operation to interact with the external power supply system and the electricity market, as well as to operate in an isolated mode; - development of recommendations for consumers to improve the efficiency of their use of available energy; - development of principles for distribution of stored energy and available generation capacity among consumers when the system operates in an isolated mode; - creation of simulation models with further definition and optimisation of the main criteria for their efficiency; - development of recommendations to the state standards and laws of Ukraine that will allow the effective use of the proposed system; - patent protection of technological innovations developed during the project and search for potential customers. popup.description2 The research work ‘Sustainable community power supply system with the ability to provide autonomous operation based on virtual power plants’ is dedicated to the development of a new method of community power supply based on a combination of microgrid and virtual power plant concepts. This report corresponds to the second stage of its implementation ‘Synthesis of algorithms and analysis of electricity consumption of different types of communities’. In the course of its implementation, the following was done: • Identified the required parameters of a sustainable electricity supply system on the example of communities in different regions of Ukraine, taking into account the possibility of optimising consumer load through low-cost energy efficiency measures, and determined the expected impact of such measures on community electricity consumption; • mathematical models of the most common traditional and renewable energy sources for the community, including backup generators, PV and wind farms, chemical energy storage facilities, were built; • a mathematical model of a sustainable power supply system with normal and autonomous operation based on pandapowers was built, taking into account the models of electricity generation, losses and consumption developed at the current and previous stages; • the principles of building a control and management system for a sustainable community power supply system were developed and the mechanism, technical aspects and principles of the control system's impact for each type of load and generation were determined; • developed a scheme of an experimental sample of a sustainable electricity supply system and conducted an experimental study in the computer and hardware format of the sustainable electricity supply, forecasting and control system. The results were used to refine the developments and prepared for use in further research. Product Description popup.authors Mykola V. Makhonin Fedorchuk Stanislav O. Oleksii V. Bulhakov Andrii V.
