Registration Date 21-01-2026 Organization National Technical University "Kharkiv Polytechnic Institute" popup.description1 The goal of the project is to determine the optimal operating conditions of utility companies during power supply restrictions due to energy-saving consumption and the involvement of renewable energy sources. popup.description2 At this stage, the project involves the development of a standard methodology for determining measures to ensure the functioning of municipal institutions, a simulation model of energy consumption by a municipal institution and using it to study the institution's energy consumption efficiency, determining the necessary parameters of low-carbon generation and energy storage to ensure the operation of a real facility within the framework of the developed experimental project and its implementation on the territory of the NTU “KhPI”. During the work on it, the following was done: • A simulation model of energy consumption by a municipal facility was created based on information about the number and format of services provided by it, its parameters, electricity consumption by its departments, and standard types of electrical loads such as lighting, heating, air conditioning, and hot water supply. The potential for implementing energy efficiency measures was also assessed, and an electrical load schedule was developed for use in further research. • The parameters of low-carbon generation and electricity storage for the research facility on the territory of the National Technical University “Kharkiv Polytechnic Institute” were determined for conditions ensuring maximum economic effect, covering 50% and 100% of the facility's annual electricity consumption using low-carbon generation and energy storage. These calculations also took into account the operation of the facility in isolated mode for 6 hours in a row. • A plan was developed for conducting experiments related to testing the project hypotheses. The results of the experiments were used to refine the simulation model and methodology for determining measures to ensure the functioning of public utilities.
