The object of the research is the process of teaching computer science disciplines, while the subject focuses on approaches to the use of information and communication technologies (ICT) in computer science education. The aim of the study is to analyze, evaluate, and improve the application of information technologies in education and science to enhance the effectiveness of the educational process and scientific research. The study employs analysis and synthesis of scientific and methodological literature, systematization and classification of ICT-based teaching approaches, modeling, pedagogical observation, surveys and interviews with teachers and learners, pedagogical experimentation, testing, and methods of mathematical statistics. The results contribute to the advancement of scientific knowledge on the principles and patterns of ICT integration into education and science and to the development of methodologies and practical recommendations that improve the quality and effectiveness of learning. Within the research framework, 5 PhD dissertations and 2 doctoral dissertations in pedagogical sciences have been defended, and 689 scientific publications have been produced. The practical significance of the findings lies in their applicability for teachers and lecturers to modernize instructional practices, for educational institutions to develop educational programs and professional development courses, for researchers to optimize data-related processes, and for developers of educational software. The results may be applied in general secondary, professional pre-higher, and higher education institutions.
