The main goal of the study is to create a comprehensive model that interprets culture as a dynamic living system — one that reflects social changes and simultaneously influences the formation of national identity. The research explores various forms of artistic expression, including visual arts, theater, music, film, design, and architecture, within their social, historical, and aesthetic dimensions. It identifies the main trends in the development of Ukrainian artistic thought, highlights significant figures, and traces connections between national and international cultural movements. A theoretical model of “cultural self-awareness” has been developed to explain how art functions as a medium through which society reflects upon its values, ideals, and experiences. The team systematized conceptual and terminological foundations of modern cultural studies and compiled an analytical framework integrating archival and theoretical sources. The practical outcomes of the project have direct applications in cultural policy, education, creative industries, and national security. The findings can be used in humanitarian programs, cultural diplomacy, and public communication strategies that strengthen Ukraine’s cultural identity and resilience. This study reinforces Ukraine’s intellectual presence in the global academic community, fosters interdisciplinary collaboration, and opens new perspectives for innovative approaches to understanding culture in the 21st century.
