Vavilov of the Institute of Pig Breeding and Agro-industrial Production of the National Academy of Agrarian Sciences of Ukraine popup.description1 To theoretically substantiate modern systems of basic tillage in crop rotations of the left-bank Forest-Steppe with efficient use of crop by-products. popup.description2 As a result of the conducted research, modern primary tillage systems in crop rotations of the Left-Bank Forest-Steppe with effective use of crop by-products have been substantiated: It was determined that the highest grain yield for winter wheat – 5.43 t/ha, and spring barley – 3.77 t/ha was achieved using the ridge tillage system. The highest yield for corn for grain – 7.37 t/ha was achieved with the Great Plains zero tillage system, and for soybeans – 2.47 t/ha with the mini-till tillage system. It was established that in terms of economic indicators, the Great Plains zero tillage technology was superior for growing winter wheat and corn, with net income indicators for winter wheat, spring barley, corn for grain, and soybeans (17,864, 5,244, 27,273, 18,970 UAH/ha respectively), and profitability levels of (91.1, 27.5, 138.3, and 116.9%).
