The influence of the phase composition of the sorbents on the degree of zinc ion removal under various sorption conditions was investigated. Among the studied sludges, the highest sorption capacity was demonstrated by the sample with a phase composition of 61.3% δ-FeOOH and 38.7% Fe₃O₄ at a solution pH of 8. The application of this sorbent reduces the concentration of zinc ions to 2.4 mg/dm³ with a solution purification efficiency of 92.0%. As a result of improving the ferritization and sorption methods, an innovative integrated technological scheme for the treatment of galvanic wastes from a zinc plating line was developed and scientifically substantiated. Compared with conventional technologies, this scheme provides: the return of up to 80% of treated water to the enterprise’s recirculating water supply system; the production of environmentally safe treatment products suitable for utilization; and the possibility of simultaneously treating highly concentrated and rinse wastewater containing heavy metal compounds. A technical and economic assessment of the efficiency of technology implementation was performed. The economic feasibility of its implementation was demonstrated due to a reduction in the cost of processing liquid galvanic wastes by more than 50%. The economic effect, taking into account the profit from the sale of galvanic waste treatment products, exceeds 570 thousand per year for a small-scale galvanic production facility.
