Registration Date 24-01-2026 Organization Kyiv National University of Construction and Architecture popup.description1 The purpose of the work is to create new scientific knowledge regarding the development of applied and technological solutions for obtaining super-quick-hardening concretes and mortars based on alkaline nanomodified Portland cement. popup.description2 The technological basis for producing concretes and mortars was developed for the emergency repair and strengthening of general construction and specialised construction facilities. The use of Portland cement CEM III/A (slag content of 50 wt.%), activated with soluble sodium silicate and modified with a complex of organic and inorganic admixtures, ensures that such materials have the required properties. The identified patterns were used in the obtaining of mortars for anchoring, repair mortars, and heavyweight concretes. Mortars for anchoring, which are used to fix and strengthen the structural elements of buildings, were characterised by their high early and design strengths. Flexural strength reached 2.3 MPa, 2.8 MPa and 8.6 MPa after six hours, one day and 28 days respectively, while compressive strength reached 15.2 MPa, 23.5 MPa and 45.7 MPa at the same ages. The mortars exhibited an expansion of +2.35 mm/m and the pull-out strength of the anchors was not less than 100 MPa. The effectiveness of these mortars was confirmed by their resistance to high-temperature exposure, which was higher compared to analogous materials based on calcium aluminate cement and gypsum. Repair mortars for damaged concrete surfaces were characterised by their high adhesive (≥ 2.0 MPa), fracture toughness (brittleness coefficient ≤ 6.5) and compensated shrinkage (≤ -0.03 mm/m). Heavy-weight concretes intended for repairing the protective layer of road concrete pavements had high performance properties, achieved with slump class of S4, including compressive strength class of C55/67, freeze-thaw resistance of ≥ F200, water impermeability of ≥ W8, abrasion resistance of ≤ 0.7 g/cm³, and corrosion resistance coefficient of ≥ 0.8. The developed concretes significantly outperform Portland cement-based analogues. The development of such concretes and mortars was extremely relevant in view of the needs of the national economy, society, and the national security and defense of Ukraine.
