The aim of the research is to study the demographic structure and population dynamics of the Turkmenian kulan in the zoo "Askania-Nova", in the Azov-Syvash National Nature Park, the status of Przewalski's horse population in Ukraine, and to develop a strategy for its conservation in artificial breeding centres (the zoo "Askania-Nova"), to study the morphological indicators and behavioural characteristics of Père David's deer, to study the parasitofauna of Przewalski's horse, the state of gastrointestinal parasite communities in representatives of the Equidae and Ruminantia families, and to study the adaptive capacity of ruddy shelduck and gadwall. Research methods – generally accepted methods of zoology, morphology, ecology, ethology and parasitology, laboratory microscopic, morphometric and mathematical-statistical methods, photo recording.
