Considering that the combination of such diversity into a single system is taking place for the first time not only in Ukraine, but also in the world, it is necessary to ensure the electromagnetic compatibility (EMC) of the specified technical objects to the action of powerful electromagnetic fields of natural and artificial origin under conditions of aggression, both direct and hybrid. Each object has a unique electromagnetic (EM) environment, due to its engineering and technical features, geophysical, meteorological factors, mutual location with other objects, the presence of communications Taking into account this existing set of factors unique for each object, mathematical modeling and simulation at an operating object distinguishes this study from existing ones. The work developed methods and tools that provide solutions to the world-class scientific and applied problem and issues of security and defense capability of Ukraine regarding EMC of power facilities and systems in conditions of emergency shutdowns and the action of negative factors of natural and artificial origin by optimizing their design, as well as in conditions of transition to the principle of distributed generation. This is achieved by developing and implementing an experimental and calculation method for EMC diagnostics at operating power facilities, developing a system of criteria for designing new ones with improved potential equalization and shielding, grounding taking into account international requirements and the transition of relay protection devices to a microprocessor base. Studies of physical phenomena critical for the reliable functioning of equipment and electrical safety of personnel that accompany the action of the listed factors have been carried out.
