The developed methodology can be the basis for analyzing significant volumes of paleogeographic information, correctly comparing disparate data, conducting comprehensive studies of natural conditions of the past using individual paleogeographic methods and approaches, including creating forecasts of changes in the natural environment in the future based on knowledge about the past and predicting possible risks associated with irrational nature use. The purpose of the research is to develop a methodology for step-by-step reconstructions of natural conditions of the plain territory of Ukraine in the Quaternary period to display paleogeographic information in a single web-oriented geographic information system. The object of the research is Quaternary deposits are considered as paleogeographic documents of the state of nature in the past. The subject of the study is the methodology of phased reconstructions of natural conditions of the plain territory of Ukraine in the Quaternary period and the display of paleogeographic information in a single web-oriented geoinformation system. As a result of the study, a methodology of phased reconstructions of natural conditions in the Quaternary period for the plain territory of Ukraine was formed a unified structure of the spatial database of paleogeographic information was proposed. The final report presents data on the study of new sections of Quaternary deposits, graphs, tables a generalization of the state of the components of the natural environment in key areas of the plain territory of Ukraine, and a web-oriented geoinformation system of paleogeographic studies was developed.
