Head Korohodska Alla M., Доктор технічних наук Registration Date 25-01-2026 Organization National Technical University "Kharkiv Polytechnic Institute" popup.description1 The purpose of the work is to create a scientific and technical basis for the electrochemical synthesis of functional nanostructures and the latest coatings with multicomponent alloys and/or metal oxide composites based on metals of the iron subgroup and refractory elements. Such dual-use materials should be distinguished by a range of functional properties at the level of the best world achievements, thanks to which they will be able to provide a solution to a number of tasks that are in great demand at the present time, including increasing the resource of civil and military objects due to effective protection against destruction and wear and tear and ensuring their repairability and recovery, electrocatalytic activity at the level of platinum metals in power generation devices, physicochemical and electrophysical characteristics and microhardness for micro- and nanoelectronics devices, high sensitivity and selectivity of sensor elements and matrices for eco- and biomedical monitoring, as well as obtaining new knowledge for development of high technologies in Ukraine, ensuring a high level of the country's defense capability and sustainable development in the post-war period. popup.description2 The physicochemical foundations of the galvanochemical technology of coatings with ternary alloys and composites of systems involving metals of the iron subgroup and refractory elements with a high level of functional properties have been developed based on the hypothesis of the incorporation of oxides of refractory components, as intermediates of electrode reactions, into the composition of the metal matrix. The control of the course of electrochemical synthesis, as well as the composition, structure and properties, and accordingly the areas of application of the synthesized products, is carried out not only by varying the composition and ratio of components in electrolyte solutions and electrode polarization parameters, but also by using programmed electrolysis modes, involving intermediates of electrode reactions, in particular hydrogen adatoms, to create target products, variability and inversion of the nature of the structure-forming matrices of composites, the use of size effects, quantum properties of nanostructures. The effectiveness of the results obtained is ensured by the prospects for using the developed new materials and coatings for strengthening and restoring the surface of metal products, anti-corrosion protection, for means of accumulating and processing information, reducing the technogenic load on the environment and creating safe conditions for life objects and vehicles of military and civilian purposes, introducing the latest means of operational medical and environmental monitoring. The research results are valuable for the needs of the industrial complex, the development of the economy and the social sphere of Ukraine, among which the priority tasks are the tasks of the aerospace industry, energy, health and environmental protection, mechanical engineering, motor transport and chemical industry, the creation of new knowledge and will contribute to the development of higher education in Ukraine.
