The object of study is social relations arise in the process of realizing social guarantees by military personnel in accordance with their special type of service, social status, and social stability in the military environment. The purpose of the study is to develop recommendations for improving legal acts governing the social protection of military personnel (SPMP). The research was based on a systematic approach and other countries' experience, using methods like: systematic analysis, comparative analysis and analogies, analysis of legal documents (documentary analysis), empirical, historical and legal analysis. The results of the R&D are: analysis of legal acts regulating the SPMP; analysis of global experience in the SPMP; identification of problematic issues, contradictions, and inconsistencies in legal acts regulating the SPMP, and development of ways to resolve them; recommendations for improving legal acts on SPMP. The novelty of the study lies in its comprehensive approach to improving the regulatory framework for the SPMP. The results obtained should be implemented during the development of legal acts regulating the SPMP and to be used by the Social Protection Department of the Ministry of Defence of Ukraine. Scope of application: social protection, constitutional law, administrative law, civil law, family law, and land law. The recommendations developed will help reduce the risks of legal conflicts and abuses, as well as increase the legal certainty of certain rules governing the SPMP. Further studies are planned to focus on academic support for the implementation of R&D results into Ukraine's regulatory framework and ongoing monitoring of court practice to identify new lacunae and conflicts in legislation.
