At the same time, gas-water currents can be both surface and in the water column, and curved surfaces can be both concave and conve popup.description2 The work was carried out by creating an experimental setup based on the high-speed research basin of the Institute of Hydromechanics of the National Academy of Sciences of Ukraine, which allows studying the interaction of gas-water flows with curved surfaces. The main part of the experimental setup is a visualization system for gas-water flows. The visualization system is installed on the bottom of the pool and allows recording the geometric characteristics of gas-water flows in the longitudinal-vertical and longitudinal-horizontal planes. The process of visualizing gas-water flows is synchronized in time with the processes of measuring the kinematic characteristics of the motion of the towing cart of the research pool (speed and acceleration). To record the force interaction of gas-water flows with curved surfaces, a strain gauge system for recording forces and moments was created. In particular, the strain gauge system allows recording the lifting force, drag force and longitudinal moment acting on the curved surface. In addition, the registration system allows measuring the pressure distribution on a curved surface at 16 points simultaneously. The created experimental installation provides for forced controlled air supply to form a gas-water flow (ventilation system), which, in particular, includes a 6-stage axial pump and sensors for measuring pressure and air flow. All parameters measured during the experiment are registered in a single automated information collection and processing system of the experimental pool. Tests were conducted to register the interaction of a gas-water flow with a cylindrical surface moving in planing mode. The level of research meets high-level international standards, and the results obtained will be used in improving high-speed vessels and other engineering structures and technologies based on the use of the features of the hydrodynamics of bodies flowing around gas-water flows.
