The conceptual and categorical framework for managing socio-economic systems has been expanded, particularly with regard to harmonizing the categories of efficiency, sustainability, adaptability, and economic security. A significant outcome of the study is the development and testing of a set of economic and mathematical models for assessing financial sustainability, the performance of enterprises, banking and leasing companies, as well as for analyzing foreign economic activity and the competitiveness of economic entities. New results have been obtained regarding the determinants of productivity and economies of scale in enterprises. Models for forecasting energy consumption and socio-economic development have been created, along with approaches for internal rating of divisions based on energy efficiency levels. Tools have been developed for analyzing the institutional environment of SMEs and foreign trade, enhancing the capacity for sustainable development policy formation.
