N. Sokolovsky» popup.description1 The purpose of the project is to develop the scientific basis for digital objectification of the genetic component of soil resources of Ukraine. Research methods - comparative-geographical, profile-analytical. Rational use of soil resources in the context of climate change is impossible without objective information about the genetic characteristics of soils, their associated properties as a result of natural and anthropogenic factors. Global climate change in recent decades requires the formalization of soil-climatic relationships based on the relevant patterns of climate influence on soil properties. Increasing the informativeness of soil cartographic materials for the balanced use and management of soil resources is possible through the application of new approaches to soil research, in fact the development of elements of digital soil science. The results will allow to obtain patterns of formation of genetic diversity of the soil cover of Ukraine depending on the action of climatic factors, to harmonize methodological approaches to soil research with the principles of international partnership. popup.description2 The object of the research is the soil cover of agricultural lands. The aim of the research is to develop scientific foundations for the digital objectification of the genetic component of Ukraine’s soil resources in order to improve their management under climate change conditions. Research methods include comparative-geographical, profile-analytical, cartographic, and morphological-genetic approaches. Methodological principles for the digital objectification of soil genesis and methodological features of their digital mapping have been developed, as well as methodological foundations for the application of smart communication technologies in field studies of soil cover to ensure data objectification. Regularities in the formation of the organogenic profile of chernozemic soils depending on climatic conditions have been determined. An improved classification and assessment system for military-induced soil degradation has been created. Improved soil-cartographic materials on the impact of hostilities on soils at the national, regional, oblast, district, and local territorial community levels have been developed. The scientific publication “Scientific Foundations of the Digital Objectification of the Genetic Component of Ukraine’s Soil Resources” has been prepared. A patent application entitled “Method for Quantitative Determination of Hidden Gleying in Sporadically Waterlogged Chernozemic Soils of Micro-Depressions in the Relief” has been submitted. Effectiveness: the obtained results make it possible to increase the informativeness of soil-cartographic materials by 60-70%.
