The purpose of the study is to study the regulatory mechanisms of metabolism in the body under the conditions of its adaptation to exogenous influences. Research methods are biochemical: determination of enzyme activity (ALT, AST, GGT, LDH, SOD) and the content of total protein, urea, glucose level and TBA-active products in cell culture; physicochemical -, spectrophotometric, centrifugation; cell culture methods: isolation of cells from culture, counting them in the Goryaev chamber, determination of the adhesive properties of cultured cells;; statistical. The following results were obtained during the implementation of the research during 2023: 1) the observed effect of radioactive contamination of soils and various doses of animal irradiation on their functioning, which is confirmed by hematological indicators; 2) the influence of biologically active substances (vitamin B3 as a hepatoprotector; betaine as an anti-inflammatory drug) on the processes of vital activity of organisms under the conditions of modern Ukraine; 3) testing of a cellular model based on hepatocytes to determine metabolic dysfunctions under the influence of cytotoxic compounds and modification of the original DMEM culture medium (Sigma, USA) with betaine to increase the volume of cell mass and improve the efficiency of experimental studies.
