The purpose of the work is to develop information support for sustainable management of soil resources and productivity of water-deficient soils in the conditions of climate change and land relations to achieve the goals of sustainable development, a neutral level of land degradation and integration into global information systems. Research methods - summarization of literary, patent, fund materials and data of long-term stationary experiments, field research, laboratory and chamber works, statistical processing. New knowledge was obtained regarding the current state of information support for balanced use and sustainable management of soil resources and productivity of water-deficient soils. Harmonized international and national methods for determining the main indicators for assessing the state of water-deficient soils are proposed, which are outlined in the methodological recommendations "Harmonization of approaches to the assessment of soil salinity" and tested during the modern quantitative assessment of the quality of water-deficient soils. A method of harmonizing international and national standards for assessing the ecological and agro-remedial state of water-deficient soils has been developed and verified, and domestic and foreign regulatory and methodological bases for these issues have been formed. The scientific basis for information provision of balanced use and sustainable management of soil resources and productivity of water-deficient soils under conditions of climate change and land relations (theory) has been created.
