The aim of the work was to develop and evaluate the effectiveness of a biologized technology for growing confectionery sunflower. The effectiveness of the proposed biologized cultivation technology was assessed in a field experiment conducted in 2024–2025 using the confectionery sunflower cultivar ‘Lakomka’. A conventional intensive (baseline) technology served as the control. Based on an analysis of contemporary research and taking into account the effects of biological products in accordance with the main phases of plant ontogenesis, a biologized technology for confectionery sunflower cultivation was developed for the conditions of the Ukrainian Steppe. The technology is founded on: (i) improvement of soil health through the application of the soil microbiological fertilizer Groundfix; (ii) integrated plant nutrition through the use of complex biofertilizers Humifrend and HelpRost Bor; and (iii) a biological plant protection system against pests and diseases through the application of bioinsecticides and biofungicides produced by Biotekhnika. According to the results obtained, the biologized technology increased seed yield by 0.41 t ha⁻¹, corresponding to a 19.1% increase compared with the baseline technology. An increase in 1000-seed weight was also recorded (113.8 g versus 105.4 g). With respect to hull content, as well as seed oil and protein contents, the harvested seed met the requirements for confectionery quality. Implementation of the developed biologized technology enables the intensity of phytophagous pest occurrence and the severity of disease development to be maintained at an economically acceptable level, while achieving yields that are not inferior to those obtained under intensive cultivation.
