The subject of research is to develop a biological protection system against tomato pests in closed ground. The purpose of the work is to determine the species composition of the entomocomplex of tomatoes in closed ground for the development of elements of an ecologically balanced protection system. Research methods: laboratory, biological, empirical (experiments, observations, comparisons), statistical. Results and their novelty Phytosanitary monitoring was carried out (2024-2025) and the species composition of tomato pests in closed ground was established. The most common and dangerous representatives of arthropods (Arthropoda) were identified: classes of insects (Insecta), arachnids (Arachnida), entognaths (Entognata), and millipedes (Myriopoda). Mites dominated the structure of agrocenosis pests: common spider mite (Tetranychus urticae Koch), red spider mite (Tetranychus cinnabarinus (Boisduval) and two-spotted spider mite (Tetranychus bimaculatus) – 28.3%. Up to 20.4% were greenhouse whiteflies (Trialeurodes vaporariorum Westw); aphids (Aphidae) – 18.5%; thrips (Thysanoptera) – 8.7%; leaf miners of the family Liziomyra solani Meg. – 12.5%; lepidopteran pests – 9.3%.
