The object of the study is the processes of placement and specialization of agricultural production taking into account climate change. The aim of the work is to develop methodological approaches to improving the regional distribution and specialization of agricultural production to ensure its competitiveness in the context of sustainable development of the agricultural sector of the economy and rural areas. Research methods – analysis and synthesis, induction and deduction, economic and statistical, monographic, graphic, abstract-logical, generalization, etc. The spatial distribution of agriculture, determined by the food supply of the population, gives rise to problems of stratification of rural enterprises and territories into rich, stable, depressed, and crisis-ridden. Climate change is exacerbating the situation. If these trends continue over the next 20 years, intensive agriculture risks losing not only the Steppe but also nearly two-thirds of the Forest-Steppe. The specialization of regions and enterprises in the context of climate change and military action was studied, and the specialization of individual enterprises and regions was assessed. Priority directions for agricultural production in specific natural and climatic zones have been substantiated. Conceptual foundations for post-war agricultural transformations have been developed.
