The purpose of the research is to develop scientific and methodological principles of sustainable fertilizer management, taking into account the priorities of preserving soil fertility, ensuring environmental safety and economic efficiency, adapted to the needs of the country's modern agricultural sector. Research methods are empirical (field – for conducting field experiments with fertilizers and laboratory – for determining the parameters of soil indicators), dialectical – to determine the suitability of the proposed approaches, monographic – for generalizing regulatory documents and scientific publications, abstract-logical – for theoretical generalization and when formulating proposals and conclusions, mathematical-statistical - for analysing data obtained by the empirical method.
