The purpose of the work is to develop recommendations for increasing the reliability of schemes of electrical basic distribution installations of substations with a voltage of 35-110(150) kV. To substantiate the scope of use of a particular scheme of the substation switchgear with modern equipment, it is proposed to use a comparative method, according to which preference will be given to a simpler scheme with modern equipment in the case when the reliability indicators of such a scheme are better than the reliability indicators of a more complex scheme with old equipment.
