The subject of the research is the stages of finite element analysis and fuzzy mathematical programming. The purpose of the work is the construction of mathematical models in solving engineering problems and the development of software and methodological support for a complex of the investigated objects, phenomena, and processes. The solution of the problems posed in the work was carried out on the basis of the provisions of the finite element method, the fuzzy logic method, ship control theory, linear algebra, physics, electrical engineering, hydromechanics, thermodynamics, and electromagnetism. Results of the research work and their novelty include the analysis of the stages of solving applied problems of mathematical physics by the finite element method, which allow discretization of the domain by a mesh containing cells in the form of bipyramids; the investigation of metric quality indicators of the bipyramid, which determine the conditions for the use of cells of irregular geometric shape in finite element calculations; the development, using the fuzzy logic method, of a mathematical model for controlling the parameters of a ship’s rolling motion; the construction of a mathematical model for calculating a steady-state electrical circuit; the development of a model for organizing laboratory classes in physics using elements of virtual reality on the example of the topic “Ship Stability,” which allows adaptation for other topics of priority areas of physics studied in maritime higher education institutions; and the construction, in the environment of the GeoGebra computer algebra system, of a model for solving a non-standard geometry problem.
