The advantage of synthetic organosulfur compounds over natural analogues is resistance to degradation and, accordingly, prolongated antimicrobial effect. Liquid forms of the synthesized compounds were developed and their effect on the growth of microorganisms in vitro was studied. Compound ETC1 showed high antibacterial activity against E. coli, S. aureus, and C. albicans. Compound ETC2 also has high antibacterial and antifungal activity, but weaker than ETC1. The minimum inhibitory concentrations of the developed liquid forms of new synthetic substances (ETS1 and ETS2) were determined. The compound with the most effective antimicrobial effect was selected. An experimental preparation based on S-ethyl-4- aminobenzenethiosulfonate in a 50% dimexide solution was formed. New experimental drug provides wound protection and scar-free healing in mice. The scientific novelty of the project is established relationship of chemical structure and antimicrobial activity. This will help scientists to overcome the resistance of microorganisms via creating effective methods of modification and synthesis of known and new antimicrobial substances. Practical value of the proposed work lies in the possibility of developing new, effective, safe and easy-to-use medicines for healing wounds and injuries of various etiologies.
