To develop breeding methods and requirements for the technological support of keeping the sheep with meat productivity. popup.description2 Reproductive and productive traits of ewes of different origins obtained by crossing with rams of the Texel (T), Vendéen (VA) breeds, as well as Askanian meat-wool breed with crossbred wool (AMB), were summarized. Ewes with the highest live weight were ¼T×¾AMB – 61.8 kg. High values were also observed in ½T×½AMB and AMB ewes, at 60.9 and 60.2 kg, respectively. Data on the growth dynamics of young stock of different genotypes were summarized. At 14 months, ½T×½AMB ewe lambs had live weight 3.4–14.9% higher than their peers. A decrease in weight was noted in ¼T×¾AMB ewe lambs, reaching 44.9 kg. Fattening and slaughter traits of young stock of different genotypes were determined. It was established that the pre-slaughter weight of ½T×½AMB rams was 46.3 ± 0.55 kg, which was 9.2% higher (p < 0.05) compared to others, with a slightly lower slaughter yield – 48.3% versus 49.6%. The adaptive capacity of ewes was studied, and the genetic structure of the investigated population was analyzed.
