To find out the role of Iodine and Selenium separately, as well as in combination with other immunotropic drugs in the regulation of metabolic homeostasis and activation and rehabilitation of certain parts of the immune response in animals with immunodeficiency popup.description2 A complex study of indicators characterizing the hematological profile, the state of the immune and antioxidant defense systems of animals in normal conditions, under simulated immuno suppression and under the influence of an immunotropic agent was conducted. As a result, the role and mechanisms of action of immunotropic trace elements in the regulation of metabolic homeostasis and resistance in animals of farms in the Western region of Ukraine were clarified and a method of increasing the immune potential was developed using a new immunotropic drug "Selenitrin". Intramuscular administration to pregnant cows in the last period of gestation of the studied immunotropic drug causes a decrease in the content of intermediate and final products of POL, MSM and CIC, which indicates an inhibitory effect of the studied drug on the intensity of peroxide processes and a decrease in the antigenic load on the body of cows under conditions of physiological immunosuppression. A positive effect of the drug "Selenitrin" on both the body of cows and calves born from them was noted. This is evidenced by the greater body weight of calves at birth and at one month of age, as well as their higher average daily gains and survival rates, respectively by 5.9 and 6.9%. The results of production testing and implementation showed the effectiveness of its use to increase the immune and antioxidant potential and productivity of animals.
