This allows for the prompt, real-time comparison of the obtained information with the corresponding technological regulations, as well as with pre-determined optimal characteristics of technological units, thereby ensuring the achievement of specified indicators in the ore beneficiation process, taking into account environmental protection requirements and energy efficiency. popup.description2 The project is aimed at solving the urgent problem of developing and improving methods of geological exploration of all types of minerals, especially strategic and critical ones, as well as improving the efficiency of mining and mineral processing processes. The aim of the research is to develop theoretical bases and to substantiate the methods and technologies of determining the mineralogical varieties of iron-bearing ores at the initial stage of the process of their extraction and processing. In accordance with the proposed approach, the formation of a set of characteristic parameters of iron-bearing ores is carried out, sufficient to recognise the main mineralogical varieties of raw materials in the process of technological operations of mining production with the use of intellectual methods of analysis of the received information. During the reporting stage of the research and development project, the processes of eddy current conversion in iron-bearing rock were studied and theoretically substantiated. The dependencies of the phase, amplitude and spectral composition of the signal in the receiving circuit of the eddy current sensor, as well as the measured value of its impedance, were determined in relation to the characteristics of iron ore. The dependencies of the eddy current conversion results on the textural and structural properties of iron ore were also determined. The obtained results made it possible to develop the main elements of an eddy current conversion model for implementing a combined electromagnetic acoustic method to determine the physical characteristics of iron ore raw materials and detect structural disturbances. Analysis showed that using eddy current transformation parameters alongside ultrasonic measurements improves ore type recognition results by 8-10% under changing textural and structural conditions.
