Effective solid electrolytic materials are phases with ionic conductivity. In particular, the research is focused on Ag6PS5I and Ag7SiS5I compounds (by modifying their composition and form), which have high electrical conductivity due to the diffusion of Ag+ ions. The planned research involves studying the relationships between the composition, size, structure, and properties of materials, such as optical, electrical, and mechanical characteristics. Single-crystal materials form the basis of modern high-tech industry, serving as working elements in critically important systems. The physical properties of single crystals, which are a consequence of their ordered structure, make them indispensable for applications where anisotropy of properties or minimization of defects, such as grain boundaries, are key. The research has shown that the solid solutions under study are characterized by a higher σion value and σion/σel ratio at a lower activation energy (Ea=0.137 eV) compared to the initial tetragonal argirides. Based on the analysis of the crystal structure, a mechanism of ion transport in single crystals was proposed. The comprehensive research planned for the project "Solid electrolytes: new-generation materials for environmentally friendly energy solutions" will help identify the most promising samples and determine their potential applications.
