Research objectives: define scientific criteria for uranium-zirconium ore transformation and associated components in crystalline/terrigenous rocks; justify efficiency/safety parameters of mining machines for uranium ores; establish equilibrium parameters of sorption materials from modified plant raw materials for uranium extraction; improve resource-saving uranium ore extraction methods; substantiate rational vibroaerodynamic rock loading parameters; enhance environmental protection from ionizing radiation; select effective processes for ultra-pure zirconium/hafnium compounds. Findings: Granular/fibrous sorption materials' capacity increases with solution pH in studied uranium concentrations. Explosive cavity forms regrinding/plastic deformation zone at 3–5 radius. Unified methods developed for selecting heterogeneous materials in protective containers for radiation-hazardous waste transport/storage. Geomechanical condition analysis of uranium mines performed; technical solutions proposed. Ultra-pure zirconium/hafnium compounds obtained with impurities ≤5∙10–3%.
