The purpose of the work is to develop projects for degassing excavation sections and recommendations for ensuring the safety of mining operations in the mining and geological conditions of the «Yuvileyna» and «Stepova» mines of the PSU «MINE MANAGEMENT «Dneprovske» of PJSC "DFEK PAVLOGRADVUHILLYA". Research methods are generalization and analysis of results, methods of mathematical statistics, calculations using standard methods. As a result of the work, the mining and geological and mining technical characteristics of excavation sections 148 and 150 of the C6 layer of the «Yuvileyna» mine of the SU «MINE MANAGEMENT «Pershotravenske” of PJSC "DFEK PAVLOGRADVUHILLYA" were analyzed. The expected methane release within the excavation sections, air consumption for their ventilation, drilling parameters of degassing wells and required diameters of degassing gas pipelines were calculated. A degassing project for excavation section 150 of the C6 layer of the «Yuvileyna» mine was developed and its adjustment was made based on actual data. Recommendations were developed for degassing the roof of excavation section 148 of the «Yuvileyna» mine, ensuring dust-gas and fire safety during dead-end workings of the «Stepova» and «Yuvileyna» mines, ensuring dust-gas safety during coal excavation in shaft 639 when releasing the outgoing ventilation air stream from the dead-end workings of the «Stepova» mine into the ventilation stream. As a result of applying the developed recommendations, the safety of mining operations will be increased, which is of great socio-economic and environmental importance.
