The object of the study is the formation of highly productive populations of dairy cattle, sheep and goats using breeding methods. The purpose of the work is to search for and implement in practice optimal breeding methods to improve the economically useful characteristics of dairy cattle, sheep and goats. Research methods – zootechnical – study of primary zootechnical documentation, statistical and analytical. The results of the research were implemented: in the educational process of Bila Tserkva National Agricultural University in the discipline “Organization of selection and breeding work in animal husbandry”, OR – master, specialty H2 – Livestock breeding” and “Breeding of agricultural animals”, OR – bachelor, specialty 204 – Technology of production and processing of animal husbandry products; in production – STOV “Peremoha” of Cherkasy region and FG “Tetyana 2011” of Kyiv region.
