The subject of the study is modern forms of organization of the educational process and innovative teaching methods in higher education institutions of Ukraine. The purpose of the study: analysis of organizational and pedagogical principles and identification of the most effective forms of organization of the educational process and innovative teaching methods in higher education institutions of Ukraine to improve the quality of higher education in accordance with the requirements of the development of modern science, production and the needs of the labor market. The main objectives of the study: analysis of the theory and practice of the educational process in higher education institutions; identification of characteristic features of innovative forms and methods of teaching, disclosure of the specifics of their use in the educational process of higher education institutions of Ukraine; research of new teaching methods and technologies, information and communication technologies in the educational process of higher education institutions; development of theoretical principles for the functioning of a flexible system of organization of the educational process and necessary recommendations for the widespread implementation of modern forms and methods of teaching; determination of optimal forms and methods of teaching in higher education institutions of Ukraine. Research hypothesis: If higher education institutions of Ukraine purposefully transform traditional forms and methods of learning through the systematic implementation of innovative pedagogical and information and communication technologies (online learning, interactive, project, training, media and dialog forms), this will ensure a significant improvement in the quality of students' professional training.
