Dynamic processes in the stratosphere and troposphere are being studied, caused by the interaction of sunlight with ozone, water vapor and aerosol particles, as well as under the influence of atmospheric waves (Rossby waves, quasi-biennial oscillations, tidal waves). The prerequisites for the development of dynamic processes and their consequences for the state of the atmosphere are being studied. The peculiarities of the impact of sudden stratospheric warming on meteorological conditions in the surface layer, in particular on the territory of Ukraine, are being clarified. Observational data are being obtained and processed - on the content and dynamics of aerosol, ozone, water vapor, their analysis and study of the impact of these factors on the distribution of sunlight in the atmosphere over Ukraine and on the Earth's surface in general. The project assesses meteorological effects of dynamic processes, as well as the determination of atmospheric transparency at different altitudes, the level of irradiance of the surface layer of air and the earth's surface, and trends in these parameters. The project is training highly qualified personnel in the atmospheric physics. Total ozone content was measured using a Dobson spectrophotometer, which is the only device in Ukraine capable of determining the specified value with high accuracy (up to 2-3%). This is confirmed by comparing ground-based and satellite observation series, as well as model reanalysis data. The comparisons were conducted on a global scale with the determination of the quality of measurements at ground-based stations. The data of the Kyiv AERONET station, available for about a decade and a half, were processed.
