Research objective: to substantiate the theoretical and methodological principles and legislative framework of effective innovation policy in the field of bioeconomy in the agro-industrial complex. Scientific research methods: the research and development methodology of the Institute of Innovative Bioeconomy is based on the works of the classics of innovative economics, the basic provisions of which were continued in the concept of innovative provision of new creations and innovations on an entrepreneurial basis, which adheres to the statement that scientists create new knowledge and scientific developments (innovations) with innovative potential, and entrepreneurs cooperating with science transform scientific developments into commercial products (innovations) and ensure their transfer to the market on entrepreneurial terms (i.e., with the aim of making a profit). This gives a synergistic effect from the cooperation of science and business. The novelty of the conducted research: the theoretical and methodological foundations of innovative bioeconomy, substantiated in the project, will allow to form strategic approaches to the development of bioeconomy in Ukraine, agribusiness, to respond to new challenges that determine the development of competitive economies in the world. The studied features of regulatory regulation and stimulation of the development of bioeconomy segments allow to form the legislative framework of innovative bioeconomy, to determine priorities and centers of competence in the field of innovative bioeconomy. The following have been developed: the foundations of innovative bioeconomy; the strategies for the development of innovative bioeconomy of agribusiness have been scientifically substantiated; scientific approaches to the formation of innovation policy in the knowledge-intensive field of agribusiness.
